  • This was a fantastic stop along the more lonely portion of the 15.

Cove Fort was built as a way station for weary travelers, and continues to act in that capacity today. Free guided tours of the Fort, including bedrooms, kitchen, and out buildings are an excellent opportunity to stretch your legs and learn about the American West.

They claim to have some of the cleanest bathrooms and, doggoneit, they are clean.

There are no shops, but a lovely area to enjoy a meal you brought.

While this site is directly connected to Mormonism and hosted by Mormon missionaries, it has broad appeal to anyone interested in life in the wild American West.

  • Beautiful, clean, interesting. The staff were friendly and warm. This is a great piece of utah history, and well worth any amount of time spent there.

  • A great resource of history in the barn for coaches, leatherwork and harnessing. A wealth of information on life in an American fort, including the Telegraph Batteries and homemaking tools, etc. There is a wonderful spirit here of self-sufficiency of those who lived here. Wonderfull place.!
